Intracapsular cataract surgery is not much common these days
It is an older method of cataract surgery which is not that commonly used these days. It deals with cases in which the natural lens of eye is severely clouded. In an intracapsular cataract surgery the whole lens is removed along with capsule surrounding it.
The artificial lens in this surgery is placed in front of the iris. Surgeons only use this method when they have cases that can not be handled with other two methods that are commonly used.
